Tenar is the Priestess reborn. As such, she has had to serve the Old Powers of the Earth since she was five. She has resigned herself to the fact that darkness was her safety blanket and her gods true. But then she unexpectedly meets with a stranger where no stranger should be. A man, nonetheless. A sorcerer, even. A dragonlord who turns her against everything she had ever believed.

The Tombs of Atuan is the second book in the Earthsea saga, and I liked it much better than the first. Perhaps because this story was heroin-centred, because Ged didn’t appear so much… I don't know… maybe I was in the mood for something darker and more serious than the average books I read to entertain myself.

Oh yeah, still too descriptive and confusing at times… but I'm learning to speed read those bits :D

On a bright, self-satifying note…

I feel victorious!!! At this very time last year I was struggling against panic attack after panic attack, whichever book I choose to read. Deltora Quest 2 series was among them… and I did it! I finished the series in one day!!! Although, I still believe it is too angsty and less adventurous than the first series, the point is… I finished it!!! With no panic attack at all!!!

I'm not confident enough to try Stonehenge again… but I much more hopeful…

Now it's  time for my annual read of Lord of the Rings, so if you will excuse me…
